What is the Sail and Sign Card?

Sail & Sign® is Carnival’s cashless on board credit program, which allows guests to charge onboard purchases and gratuities directly to a personal account for convenience. The Sail & Sign Card must be utilized for all money transactions on board as cash will not be an accepted form of payment.

Personalized Sail & Sign cards are provided to all guests (including minors) and are valid for use immediately once you receive it on the Ship. Your Sail and Sign Card will be in an envelope outside your Cabin when the Cabin is ready for occupancy. (Normally around 1:30 pm).

Your Sail and Sign Card also serves as your Room Key, and for Identification when getting on and off the Ship. Upon Boarding, Your Picture will be taken, and this picture will be linked to your account. Every time you use your Card, whether for purchases or Embarking/Debarking – your picture will appear for the person swiping your card.

If you are playing in the Casino – you will also use your Sail and Sign Card to insert into Slot Machines (Even if you are using Cash, you still insert into the machine so the Casino can keep track of your points.) If you are playing table games, the Casino Pit Boss will also ask for your card to keep track of points.

THERE IS ALREADY A HOLE PUNCHED IN YOUR CARD WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT – in case you want to attach a chain or lanyard to it.

Your Sail and Sign Card is also used to activate the lights in your Stateroom. I recommend bringing an old card or even an expired gift card to use instead of your S & S Card – it’s very easy to forget it when you leave.

Guest Services can provide guests with a balance update at any time throughout the cruise. In addition, guests can view their balance update at a Sail & Sign Kiosk and Carnival’s HUB app.

Carnival accepts the following forms of payment to open a Sail & Sign account:  Credit Cards / Debit Cards / Cash / Traveler’s Checks. Click here to see detailed information about your Carnival Account.

What do the different colors mean?

Every night you sail, you earn 1 point.

BENEFITS OF EACH LEVEL

What happens if you lose your Sail and Sign Card?

Nothing – you just have to go to Guest Services, and it normally only takes a minute or two to print a new one. They already have your picture in the system, but it’s good to have your ID with you (unless it’s locked in your room, which I have done many times.) Your old Sail and Sign Card will be deactivated, so anyone who may have found it will not be able to use it.
