- 1. Carlisle Bay – This bay is best known for its calm, sheltered waters, perfect for swimming and scuba diving.
- 2. Oistins Fish Market– Oistins is an active fishing town on the south coast and is a hub of activity on weekend nights. On Friday night particularly, the big thing to do is go to the fish fry at Oistins Bay Gardens. The food is the main draw – excellent fish, (tuna, swordfish, marlin, mahi-mahi, flying fish), lobster, chicken etc served in an extremely informal setting. You can get your fish grilled or fried depending on which vendor you choose from. It’s all cooked on the spot in front of you. A plate of fish (and there’s plenty fish on it) and a beer will cost you about Bds$30 – $35 (US$ 15 – 17.50). (No obligation to purchase anything – you can walk around the market and visit the vendors.
- 3. Bathsheba Beach – This beach offers spectacular views of the island, but watch out if you want to go swimming – strong undercurrents can make swimming here dangerous.
- 4. Foursquare Rum Distillery – Foursquare Rum Distillery is tucked away in the southern countryside of Saint Philip, Barbados, on 7 acres of a former sugar plantation and has been producing exceptional, authentic Barbados rum for over 25 years. One of the most respected and admired producers of spirits in the world—and the only family-owned distillery on the island—Foursquare Distillery was established in 1996 by Sir David Seale and is currently operated by his son, Master Distiller and Master Blender Richard Seale.

The scene is completed by the presence of tall palm trees that add to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the bay. Always a popular picnic spot, it is also becoming a popular place to live and a number of homes are being built on the tops of the cliffs overlooking the beach and ocean. People who live there report spotting turtles and whales in the waters below the rocks.
