- 2. Leo’s Art Gallery – Vivid original paintings cover the walls of this small gallery. Leo, owner/artist and Nassau native, uses the space as a studio as well as a showroom, which somehow makes it more inviting. Leo has been painting since a very young age, and was officially discovered when the late GBPA Chairman, Mr. Edward St. George, saw his work and immediately offered him a scholarship to the school of his choice. Leos paintings themselves depict exotic wildlife and religious scenes. As the artist is happy to explain, nearly every element of every painting is deeply symbolic, but even at first glance, the pictures are striking, colorful and complex.
- 3. Barbary Beach – A long, peaceful section of white sand, ideal for travelers seeking a quiet place to relax along the shore.
- 4. Count Basie Square – Count Basie Square is at the heart of the Port Lucaya Marketplace, and on weekends live music keeps things lively. This is family-friendly entertainment with dancing for all ages. Grab a snack or cocktail from one of the nearby restaurants and enjoy at the many tables nearby. It is fun just watching the tourists attempt to dance (the later it gets, the more entertaining). The performers are very engaging and on Thursdays everyone gets involved with live karaoke! The limbo dancer is impressive as well. Free WiFi is also available if you need to check your phone. Admission is free.

The beach is also adorned with many seashells, adding to its natural charm. In terms of amenities, Fortune Beach offers shady spots under trees for visitors to rest and escape the bright sun.
