SHOULD I CALL CARNIVAL?

Do you have a question about your upcoming Cruise? Think Calling Carnival Directly will help? Unfortunately, unless your question is about your actual Booking, Calling Carnival directly will not get you the proper answers.

1 – If you are calling Carnival – the only number to call is 1-800-CARNIVAL (1-800-764-7419). Any other numbers that you Google are incorrect, and could possibly be someone trying to SCAM you.

2 – Carnival Customer Service Representatives are not trained to answer common questions about your Cruise. They are only trained to Manage Your Booking or to try to upsell you on your Current Booking or Future Bookings.

3 – Any General Questions you many have – the representative will access the same information through the Carnival Website that you have access to.

4 – You are much better off asking in the Facebook Group for your Cruise, or asking a Cruise Blogger like CruiseMummy, Cruise Critics, Life Well Cruised or SemiProCruiser.

Below are several recent examples of Misinformation given by Carnival Representatives:

  1. A recent Cruiser called Carnival to ask about Theme Nights on Carnival Elation. They were told by the Representative that the Elation did not have any Theme Nights. There are Clearly Theme Nights on Elation, as well as all ships.
  2. Another Cruiser called to ask if they were allowed to bring a Wagon with them to transport their Carry-On items during Embarkation. They were told by the Representative that they were indeed allowed to bring a Wagon. Carnival’s Information Page Clearly states that Wagons are not allowed to be rolled on or off the ship. This passenger had to remove all of their Carry-On items and fold up the Wagon and struggle with bringing everything else on.
  3. Recently a Cruise called to ask if they could bring a Portable Steamer onboard, and were told that they could – and of course it was confiscated during Embarkation.
  4. Another Passenger was told they were allowed to bring a 12-Pack of Non-Alcoholic Beers onto the ship – and it was once again taken.
  5. The most recent example is from a passenger that called because they needed a Blue Tooth Speaker for White Noise to sleep at night – they were told that it was ok if it was only used in their Cabin…it never made it past Security.

We will be adding more examples as they come in, but please remember – Customer Service is NOT trained in for your General Questions.
